The examination board - composed by Giorgio Battistelli, President of the Società dei Concerti "B.Barattelli", Fabrizio Pezzopane, Artistic Director and Stefano Baiocco, conductor of the Children's Choir - has communicated the names of the candidates shortlisted for the "six months artistic residence (in L'Aquila)", 3 composers and 1 conductors:

at MusAnima Festival
MusAnima Festival took place from 18th to 27th of May 2018. It is a contemporary music festival, organised by the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese and carried out by the artistic director Stefano Taglietti.
The programme includes music of well-known Italian composers as well as new works of students enrolled in the compositions courses of L'Aquila, Pescara and Teramo Conservatoires. Among them, we point out three students from L'Aquila Conservatoire: Ilkay Bora Öder, Federico Santori and Sandro Savagnone, who wrote some new compositions for the Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese on that important occasion:

The programme, consisting of twelve compositions, has been performed by the orchestra of the Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese, conducted by Marco Moresco.

Premio Nazionale delle Arti 2015 (National Arts Award)

In 2015 three students from "A. Casella" Conservatoire won the prestigious Abbado Award, in the frame of the IX National Arts Award, a musical and artistic competition which involves the best students coming from all national high education schools of arts and music.
The winner students were:
Nil Venditti (Conducting student - Professor Marcello Bufalini), Francesco Mammola (Mandolin student - Professor Fabio Giudice) and Massimiliano Cerioni (Electroacoustic music composition student - Professor Cristina De Amicis).
In the same edition Paolo Fradiani (Composition student - Professor Mauro Cardi) won the fourth prize.

winners of the Arpissima Prize 2014
The inaugural Concert of the ensemble "Insieme a corde vuote for L'Aquila" took place on 11th Aprile 2014, at 6 pm. The ensemble, conceived by Professor Maria Di Giulio, aims to promote harp ensemble original music. On the occasion of the ARPISSIMA Festival, "A. Casella" Conservatoire promoted a collaboration between the Harp class and the Composition classes, inviting young composers to write new works for this kind of ensemble.
After a selection carried out by a commission supervised by Professor Rosario Mirigliano as an external member, three pieces have been chosen:
"Farbenquartett" for four harps, by Paolo Fradiani (student of Professor Mauro Cardi);
"Duan VI" by Riccardo la Chioma (student of Professor Mauro Cardi);
"L'Asino d'oro" by Carlo Ferdinando de Nardis (student of Professor Mariella Di Giovannantonio).
