Possiamo considerare Comporre Oggi come una manifestazione “storica”, essendo ormai giunta alla XII edizione. Si tratta di una rassegna annuale con incontri e concerti aperti a tutti con la presenza di alcuni fra i più importanti compositori della scena contemporanea che si avvicendano con lecture, ascolti, video.
Anche quest’anno è previsto un servizio di streaming online, che oggi è fondamentale per chi voglia condividere le proprie esperienze di conoscenza e di ricerca con la più ampia platea possibile di musicisti, studiosi, appassionati.
Se lo scorso anno la manifestazione è stata introdotta da un concerto dell’Orchestra del Conservatorio per rappresentare il lavoro compositivo degli studenti della nostra istituzione (che avevano orchestrato i Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen di Mahler e composto lavori originali intorno agli stessi Lieder), quest’anno si è pensato a una soluzione un po’ diversa: visti i lusinghieri risultati finora ottenuti dalla giovane formazione cameristica del Dipartimento di Musica Contemporanea, l’ExègemaEnsemble, abbiamo ritenuto di affidare a essa il concerto centrale della manifestazione con musiche dei compositori ospiti e musiche appositamente composte da docenti e studenti del Dipartimento in un simbolico abbraccio tra ospiti e ospitanti. Siamo convinti che il tema del concerto, il popolare in musica, in particolare lo studio e la ricerca sui principi fondamentali della comunicazione “spontanea”, sia una delle strade maestre del comporre contemporaneo, uno di quei canali fondamentali di recupero del divario tra dimensione poietica e dimensione estesica che più abbiamo sofferto nella produzione del secondo Novecento.
Al termine dei lavori, avremo come di consueto una tavola rotonda su tematiche riguardanti la musica dell’oggi proposte dagli studenti di composizione del Conservatorio “A. Casella”.
La particolarità dell’edizione di quest’anno è aver voluto rappresentare tre diverse generazioni di compositori, con l’idea di poter anche studiare, su uno spaccato significativo e autorevole, l’intergenerazionalità della creatività artistica in musica in Italia.
We can consider Comporre Oggi as a “historic” event, having now reached the 12th edition. It is an annual review with meetings and concerts open to all, with the presence of some of the most important composers of the contemporary scene that alternate with lectures, listening, videos.
Also this year there is an online streaming service, which today is fundamental for those who want to share their experiences of knowledge and research with the widest possible audience of musicians, scholars, enthusiasts.
Last year a concert by the Conservatory orchestra introduced the event to represent the compositional work of the students of our institution (who had orchestrated the Lieder Eines Fahrenden Gessellen of Mahler and composed original works around the Lieder themselves). This year we thought of a somewhat different solution: given the flattering results obtained from the young ExègemaEnsemble founded by the Department of Contemporary Music, we decided to entrust the central concert of the event to it with music by the guest composers and music specially composed by teachers and students of the department in a symbolic embrace between guests and hosts. We are convinced that the theme of the concert, the popular in music, in particular the study and research on the fundamental principles of “spontaneous” communication, is one of the main roads of contemporary creativity in music, one of those fundamental channels for recovery the gap between poietic dimension and aesthesic dimension that we have suffered most in the production of the second twentieth century.
At the end of the works, we will have a round table as usual on issues concerning the music of the present proposed by the students of Composition of the “Alfredo Casella” Conservatory.
The peculiarity of this year’s edition is that we wanted to represent three different generations of composers, with the idea of being able to investigate, on a significant and authoritative cross-section, the intergenerationality of artistic creativity in music in Italy.
